Privacy policy
Last updated: September 2026. We collect as little as possible, and we're plain about what and why.
What we collect
- Things you send us. If you sign up for the map pack or use the contact form, we store what you submit (your email address, and your name and message if you provide them), along with the page you sent it from.
- Basic technical data. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.
- Preferences in your browser. We use your browser's local storage for small conveniences — for example, remembering that you dismissed the map pack bar or ticked items on the checklist. This stays on your device.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal information.
- We don't currently use advertising or tracking cookies. If we add analytics or advertising in the future, we'll update this policy first and ask for consent where the law requires it.
Maps
Interactive maps on the site load their code from jsDelivr and map tiles from OpenFreeMap (OpenStreetMap data) only when you scroll to a map. Like any website request, those providers receive your IP address. Links to Naver Map and Google Maps open those services, where their privacy policies apply.
How we use your information
To give you the map pack, to tell you about major updates to it (rarely — no newsletter), and to reply to your messages. You can ask us to delete your email at any time.
Where it's stored
Form submissions are stored in our content workspace (Notion) and the site is hosted on Cloudflare. Both are reputable providers with their own security and privacy practices.
Affiliate links
When you click an affiliate link, the partner site (such as a booking platform) may use its own cookies to credit the referral. Their privacy policies apply on their sites. See our affiliate disclosure.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information you've sent us. Contact us and we'll handle it promptly.
Changes
We'll update this page when our practices change, and note the date at the top.
